New Shocks Go On

Bought some nice shiny new AVO shocks at Stoneleigh. Fitting was easy enough, removed the old ones stole the top plates off them and then popped the new ones on. The difference is amazing. Despite having harder springs they are more comfortable and the car handles better. In fairness to the old ones they were WELL past their best.

More Progess Made

Another trip to Kent get the car closer to being back on the road. Some repairs have been made to the scuttle and around the rear number plate. More bodging applied to the bonnet to survive another few months.

mx-5 seats look great but I have decided to sell them as I/they don't quite fit :-( Good for Gilly but she is only 5"6'

Inside It's all Black

Gilly has done a great job painting the inside with Hamerite black. I was tempted by something a little brighter but decided it would all be covered by carpet anyway.

Seeing Red

And now for the red paint! :-) Soooooo excited.

Primer Goes On

Started spraying the primer today. Seems to be going on well. Next time (if there is one) I will use more primer/high build. Notice dad helping! Dads are great aren't they!

Give Me Wings

New wings welded on. Didn't make a great job of the welding, I blame the machine. Anyway it will all be hidden under the trim ;-)

Doughnuts

New doughnuts and brake pipes fitted.Chassis now ready for the tub, where is it, why is it not ready yet!!!!!! Notice new 5-speed ford type-9 gearbox fitted.
